Chanel de luto por muerte de su director creativo

De acuerdo a información proporcionada por la agencia France Presse, el responsable de llevar la dirección creativa de la marca Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, falleció este martes en París luego de permanecer internado en el hospital de Neuilly-Sur-Seine desde la noche del lunes.

Este distinguido diseñador logró su puesto como director artístico de Chanel en el año 1982, desde el que se destacó por la creación de 10 colecciones en el año para la marca francesa, así como otras dos destinadas para la casa italiana Fendi; y hace poco fue anunciada la colaboración que estaría brindando con la estilista Carine Roitfeld.

Al parecer desde hace algún tiempo el diseñador estaría atravesando un delicado problema de salud, que lo obligaría a ausentarse del show Couture de Chanel, celebrado durante el pasado mes de enero.

Varias personalidades del mundo de la moda, han expresado su pesar ante la lamentable pérdida, como lo hicieron las exmodelos Carla Bruni y Linda Linda Evangelista; quienes por medio de sus cuentas de Instagram manifestaron sus condolencias.

Bruni compartió varias fotografías en las que aparecía al lado del diseñador junto a un emotivo mensaje en el que decía: «Querido Karl, gracias por todos los destellos … gracias por traer belleza y luminosidad a nuestro mundo, tanto color en la oscuridad, tanto ingenio en nuestros días aburridos. Creo que no habrías deseado demasiadas lágrimas o demasiadas flores, pero te extrañaremos. El mundo entero y yo te extrañaremos».

A través de un comunicado emitido por el presidente ejecutivo de LVMH, Bernard Arnault, manifestó en nombre de la empresa: «Perdimos a un genio creativo que ayudó a hacer a París la capital de la moda del mundo y a Fendi a convertirse en una de las casas más innovadoras de Italia… Le debemos mucho: su gusto y talento eran los más excepcionales que he conocido».

Legerfeld alcanzó el respeto y admiración de muchos en el medio de la moda por su ingenio que fusionaba su intuición artística con la visión empresarial que proyectaba en los extraordinarios espectáculos que dirigía y la presentación de extravagantes atuendos.

Durante el año 2016, el hoy fallecido diseñador, visitó tierras cubanas cuando Prada realizara un festival de modas, en el conocido Paseo del Prado Habanero donde disfrutó de un momento lleno de la alegría y sabor que ofrece la Isla entre deliciosos platillos y bailes.

Karl Lagerfeld, nació en Hamburgo en el año 1933, y dio sus primeros pasos en el mundo de la moda al trabajar como aprendiz del diseñador Pierre Balmain, previo a su paso en Jean Patou y la casa italiana Fendi.
